Nadia Hart M.C.

Registered Provisional Psychologist

Nadia is a Registered Provisional Psychologist and a member of the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta. She brings over a decade of experience supporting children and adolescents within school-based settings, combining system-level understanding with direct therapeutic intervention.

Since 2024, Nadia has worked within the CASA Classrooms program, a school-based mental health treatment program operating in partnership with local school boards. In this role, she delivered Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to children and adolescents in both individual and group formats and served as the sole on-site therapist within the classroom environment. Students admitted to the program often presented with complex, co-occurring mental health concerns and have previously accessed treatment without full remission. Nadia has provided structured, goal-directed intervention for anxiety, depression, peer and family relationship challenges, grief, personality disorders, gender dysphoria, suicidal ideation, and self-harm. This role has strengthened her ability to make thoughtful, in-the-moment clinical decisions while maintaining a steady and collaborative therapeutic presence.

Prior to her work with CASA, Nadia completed a counselling practicum at Foothills Academy, a specialized school serving students with diagnosed learning disabilities. Many students also presented with ADHD and autism spectrum disorder, and her clinical work frequently involved executive functioning support, social skills development, and communication skills training. Nadia helped students build planning, organization, task initiation, and emotional regulation skills in both individual and small-group formats. During this time, she co-facilitated parent workshops focused on ADHD, self-esteem, and supporting girls navigating the unique social and emotional challenges associated with attention differences.

Earlier in her career, Nadia spent 10 years as a guidance counsellor, where she supported students navigating academic pressures, social complexity, and developmental transitions. She collaborated closely with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the educational systems that shape students’ daily experiences.

As both a clinician and a mother, Nadia appreciates the complexity of raising children in today’s social and academic environments. She is particularly interested in parent coaching and in enhancing interpersonal connections in a time where screens are so widely available.

Nadia integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and related evidence-based approaches into her work. She values thoughtful language, collaborative goal setting, and helping young people develop practical skills that promote resilience, self-awareness, and long-term growth.
